This introduction to kayaking trip will teach the basic paddle strokes and boating safety. We will head to Upper New Port Bay to explore this protected bay surrounded by high vertical cliffs. Upper Newport Bay is home to one of the few estuaries remaining in Southern California and up to 30,000 birds can be found resting in the area during migration. While at the bay, youth will get a chance to experience the joy of kayaking on calm water. The trip price includes transportation, kayaks, equipment and instruction.
